Renowned painter Jo Baer died January 21, 2025, aged 95. As an artist she pioneered both minimalism and radical figuration; her pioneering works have been exhibited in the greatest art institutions around the world.

Lynn Taylor-Corbett, acclaimed choreographer, died on January 14, 2025, at 78 from breast cancer. Her resume includes Broadway work Swing! and two films, Footloose and Vanilla Sky.

Music industry figure Jackie Farry died on January 12, 2025, at age 58 from lung disease. She was a leading tour manager for indie rock acts and a cancer awareness advocate, inspiring many with her resilience and philanthropy.

Broadway actress Merle Louise died on January 11, 2025, at the age of 90. She created roles in several Stephen Sondheim musicals, such as Sweeney Todd and Into the Woods, making her an icon in musical theater.

Bob Veale was an overpowering left-handed mound aide for the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 1960s. He was remembered as both a potent fastball pitcher and accomplished strikeout artist. He played crucially to help the Pirates win the World Series in 1971. He mentored young players and gave back to his community off the field. He died on January 3, 2025, at the age of 89.

Howard Buten, aka Clown Buffo, was a multi-talented performer and a clinical psychologist who helped autistic children. He founded the Adam Shelton Center in Paris and wrote influential books on autism. His performances included humor and music, leaving an indelible mark on the world. He died on January 3, 2025, at the age of 74.

Brenton Wood (Born 1941 – Died 2025)

He remains a defining voice of his time as soul singer Brenton Wood, famous for hits like The Oogum Boogum Song and Gimme Little Sign. His influence on generations still continued; this year, in 2024, he has announced his last tour, which is titled Catch You on the Rebound. He peacefully ended at the age of 83 on January 3, 2025.
